Improved Visualization
The unique “J” shape catheter design provides retrograde visualization for the most complete view of the colon.
Rear View. Forward Thinking.
- Delivers a More Complete View of the Colon
- During colonoscopy, the Third Eye's unique “J” shape catheter design allows the physician to see behind folds and flexures by providing a retrograde view that complements the forward view of the colonoscope.
- Innovative chip-on-catheter-tip design with high quality video imaging provides superior visualization.
- An integrated light source on the catheter provides illumination without the need for a costly additional external light source.
-
- Compelling Clinical Value
- The Third Eye Retroscope has been shown to find 23 – 25% additional adenomas compared to standard colonoscopy across all patient types1,2
- Third Eye colonoscopy resulted in substantially improved adenoma detection rates for high risk patients versus standard colonoscopy3
- For patients who were undergoing colonoscopy for “surveillance” after previous removal of adenomas, the additional adenoma detection rate for Third Eye colonoscopy compared to standard colonoscopy was 35.7%
- For patients having a “diagnostic” colonoscopy to look for a reason for symptoms such as anemia, weight loss, changes in bowel habits or rectal bleeding, the additional adenoma detection rate with Third Eye colonoscopy was 55.4%
- The pooled results for these two “high risk” groups showed a 40.7% additional adenoma detection rate with Third Eye colonoscopy
-
- Procedural Advantages
- Retrograde view may minimize manipulation required to view areas behind folds.
- Activating a foot pedal captures still images from both the forward and retrograde views simultaneously.
-
- Integrates with Standard Colonoscopy System
- Third Eye catheter fits through the working channel of most colonoscopes.
- Third Eye video processor and monitor integrate with standard colonoscopy systems and display both forward and retrograde views on the same monitor.
-
- Cost-Effective
- Eliminates need for:
- Additional referral for consultation.
- An additional procedure.
- An additional bowel prep.
- Lost cost, single-patient-use, disposable device.
- Minimal expense of capital equipment.
